This is a special event letterbox--it will be available for
one month only.
To find this letterbox take Merriam Avenue out of downtown
Leominster. Head west and go through one set of lights. Be on the
lookout for 522 Merriam Avenue, which is on the left. Park along Merriam Avenue
and enjoy the beautiful Christmas display all hand carved by Leominster's
Native Son #7, Louis Charpentier, a delightful 91 year old who invites young and
old to walk through the decorations, take pictures, sign his guest book and
while you're at it........stamp into the letterbox that you will find when
you stand in front of the menorah and look down to your left. Underneath
the small bush at your side is Native Son #7, honoring a man who is as well
known for his kind and generous spirit as he is for the bowties he
wears!
